Basic Electricity II – Self-Paced videos
45-Hour, State-Approved Study in AC Theory
This 45-hour course is approved by the State of Maine and builds on the principles and foundations laid down in Basic Electricity 1. Basic Electricity 2 will continue to build on your understanding of electrical theory. Having already learned about electricity at the atomic level and electron theory, this course provides introduction in the characteristics of alternating current, three-phase power, capacitance, induction, and finally, an introduction to motors, generators, and transformers.
Students who choose to take this self-paced course will receive access to videos which correspond to chapter assignments. Upon completion of videos and assigned reading, review questions will be completed in preparation for a final exam.
Prerequisites: Basic Electricity 1
Additional Materials Required: Scientific Calculator (capable of SIN, COS, TAN functions)
