Description

This 45-hour course is approved by the State of Maine as a “Trade-Related” elective for the Journeyman Program and is a hands-on course, designed to be taken only in the classroom. This course is rich in hands-on labs as students learn to wire and troubleshoot fault conditions in motors, motor controls, and VFD’s. Students will be able to demonstrate proficiency in measuring and testing components, troubleshooting and repairing faults within motor controls, and VFD’s. In-depth training on motors, controls, and VFD’s will be provided. Setting up, operating, and controlling VFD’s is central to the course.

Prerequisites: Basic Electricity I, Basic Electricity II
