Programmable Logic Controls – In-Class
20-Hour, State-Approved Study in P.L.C.’s
This 20-hour course is approved by the State of Maine as a “Trade-Related” elective for the Journeyman Program and is a hands-on course designed to be taken only in classroom. This course is rich in hands-on labs as students learn to wire, program, and troubleshoot fault conditions in PLC systems. Students will gain an understanding of the various terms related to PLC’s, Input and Output devices and their functions, and how to write and execute a program they create. Several hands-on labs are included and will provide students with the creation of PLC programs and troubleshooting faults introduced by the instructor.
Personal laptop computer required.
Prerequisites: Basic Electricity I, Basic Electricity II
